General Motors Open House Today

GM's Shreveport plant will have a public open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the plant, 7600 General Motors Blvd.

The event will include free tours on a first-come, first-serve basis. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 9 a.m.

Proper footwear is required for the tour. Only closed-toe, closed-heel shoes will be allowed. No high heels, sandals or flip-flops.

GM is hosting open houses this year in each of its 54 U.S. facilities as a tangible way to recognize the role automotive manufacturing plays in communities across the United States, a news release states.
