Geek’d Con Celebrates Star Wars Day With Guest Announcements
Geek'd Con in Downtown Shreveport has built an impressive guest lineup for the 2018 show. This year's Geek'd Con will be August 17-19 at the Shreveport Convention Center. So far stars like Mick Foley, Chris Sarandon, Helen Slater, Pruitt Taylor Vince, John Wesley Shipp, and a bunch more.
But when Star Wars Day rolled around this past Friday (You know, May 4th. May The Fourth Be With You) that guest list blew up again.
Not only has one Star Wars guest been added to the lineup, TWO Star Wars guests have been added to the lineup. One is the second time the guest has been announced for a Geek'd Con, and the other has never been to Shreveport before.
First, Matthew Wood.
Wood was announced for last year's Geek'd Con, but once the date approached, his work load at Lucasfilms prevented him from making the trip. This year he's confirmed that his work schedule will allow him to make the trip into Shreveport for the show.
Oh, who is Matthew Wood in the Star Wars universe? He's one of the strongest villains ever, General Grevious. He played Grevious in his film appearances, and also in video games and cartoons. Wood is also an award winning Sound Engineer with Lucasfilms.
The other announcement, was Daniel Logan.
Logan has never appeared in Shreveport, and created some strong excitement when he was announced.
His Star Wars credentials start back in Star Wars Episode 2, where he first appeared as the young version of bounty hunter Boba Fett. Logan also appeared as Boba Fett in Star Wars The Clone Wars television series.
Boba Fett and General Grevious are both coming to Downtown Shreveport for Geek'd Con!
