Gas Prices Soar in Shreveport-Bossier
The cost of getting to work has risen in the area of gasoline as prices continue to rise at the pump. One of the cheapest places to gas up a couple of days ago, was Murphy Oil on Westport Ave., just off I-20 at Pines Road.
That's where I got gas for $3.69 a gallon. Today, gas stations are selling the fuel for $3.75 a gallon in Carthage, Texas. And, that's actually cheap for Texas. Prices at the pump stand at 10-month highs.
The national average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas climbed to $3.898 on Tuesday.
In Shreveport-Bossier, you can find gasoline for $3.67 at the Murphy Oil at the intersection of Airline and Melrose. In Keithville, at the Circle K on Mansfield Road, gasoline is now going for $3.69 a gallon. It's $3.71 a gallon in Bossier at the Valero near the Jimmie Davis Bridge.
