Maybe I'm rushing things a little, but with us moving into the second half of February, my inner voice (or growling stomach) is reminding me that we are beating on Spring's door and it won't be long until it's full-on fishing season and we'll be pining for fried fish.

You Just Can't Beat That "Home Cooked" Fish

We all know that it's almost impossible to beat the fried fish you get from your own backyard or from around the porch at a friend's house; especially if that friend lives on the lake!

There's something mesmerizing about running those crappie filets through a heaping helping of corn meal and then watching them float around in a bath of peanut oil until golden brown.
