Anyone who met Michael Rooker at Geek'd Con in Shreveport back in 2019 knows the guy moves at 2,000 MPH. But in a good way, he's pure energy, excitement, and entertainment. There are a lot of people who call him their "favorite Geek'd Con guest ever".

Now if you're not familiar with Rooker, you're missing out. His biggest roles have come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yondu in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and in the Walking Dead where he played Merle Dixon. Now he's had other major roles too, like Rowdy Burns in Days of Thunder and Jared Svenning in Mallrats, among others.

You may have also come across Rooker on social media, where his positive attitude is infectious.

But Rooker has recently been dealing with a major issue that he's been quiet about. He's been battling COVID-19, and recently beat the virus.

Rooker detailed his experience in a social media post, explaining his Airstream-based quarantine and the medication plan he utilized. Here's his Facebook post...

In the post, Rooker says he stayed away from extra medications while fighting the virus, and that his body's immune system was able to beat it. He's now COVID free.

Congrats Rooker! Can't wait to see you again.
