If you're not familiar with the history Elvis has with Shreveport, we can catch you up pretty quick...

Elvis got his big break in Shreveport. At 19-years-old, Elvis made his first ever appearance on Shreveport's Louisiana Hayride show, heard on KWKH. He would perform regularly on the Hayride, building his resumes and stage skills for the audience in Shreveport.

The young singer was even arrested in Shreveport at one point. He also performed his only commercial jingle in his career for Southern Maid Donuts in Shreveport.

Eventually, Elvis outgrew the Hayride, and it was time to move on. But he was under contract in Shreveport. So part of the agreement to let him take his show national was one last big show in Shreveport. By this point, Elvis mania had already started spreading. So the show was a massive production at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. It took place on December 15th, 1956...the day KWKH's Frank Page said these words for the first time...

Lets add one more before we get to the pizza. Shreveport's very own James Burton was Elvis' handpicked band leader for the "Taking Care of Business Band". You can see Burton's statue next to Elvis' outside of the Shreveport Memorial Auditorium.

OK, now onto the pizza...

This gem of a pizzeria in Waynesville, OH called Roscoe's Pizza went viral on the internet with their tribute to Elvis, which is appropriately named...The Elvis.

It has a peanut butter base (instead of a red sauce), pizza cheese, bacon, and bananas. With a honey sauce added after its done baking. Look at this beautiful thing...

Now this isn't a Shreveport pizza joint. This place is over 800 miles from Shreveport. But what if someone locally made something like this? Would you try it?

Maybe its more than a Elvis tribute with peanut butter and bananas....
