Devin White’s Record Breaking Season and Massive NFL Bonus
Former LSU star Devin White has officially cashed in on his incredible production from the 2025 season. The standout Las Vegas Raiders linebacker earned a massive performance bonus that ranks among the highest in the league this year. This $1.1 million payday was tied directly to his sheer volume of tackles, and time on the field during the season.
The massive payday confirms that White successfully met the strenuous criteria laid out by the Las Vegas front office. But has sparked discussions across the NFL landscape about where White will suit up next year. Because the Raiders have not resigned him...even with the historic performance.
Springhill Native Enters Free Agency Market
The former standout from North Webster High School in Springhill is now looking for a new organization to call home. Despite his dominant statistical performance last year, he remains an unrestricted free agent as teams finalize their defensive rosters. His proven ability to rack up tackles at a high volume makes him an attractive option for franchises needing veteran leadership.
Last year's historic season saw White come in with 174 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and an interception. His tackle total is now the Raiders franchise record for tackles in a season. The Raiders...not a new expansion team...one of the most legendary teams in the NFL.
Not just that, but White played every defensive snap for the Raiders until the final week of the season. He was the only player on the Raiders whole roster who stayed on the field that much.

Front offices must now evaluate his asking price following such a lucrative bonus payout...weighing his undeniable talent against strict salary cap limitations. The linebacker market is currently evolving rapidly, as several veteran defenders wait to sign new agreements. The upcoming weeks will determine exactly where this proven tackler will continue his professional athletic career, with the NFL Draft looming.
Former LSU Star Evaluates Next Professional Steps
White built a formidable reputation during his LSU tenure, before translating that to the First Round of the 2019 NFL Draft. His steady development into a top tier defender began long before his recent financial windfall...becoming a star for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right away.
In his rookie season, White had 91 tackles, 2.5 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns. For his work, he was named to the All-Rookie Team.
During his second year, White and the Bucs won the Super Bowl, with big contributions from the former Tiger along the way. White led the Bucs in tackles in the Divisional Round, the NFC Championship Game, and in the Super Bowl...he had 12 tackles and the game-ending interception of Patrick Mahomes.
As the Raiders let us all know last year, White has had a historic start to his NFL career...
Which is why it seems pretty wild that the Raiders didn't want to bring him back, and why he hasn't already been locked up by another team.
