The Inaugural David Toms/Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Golf Classic has been rescheduled to October 27th.

SHREVEPORT - The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Foundation and the David Toms Foundation have postponed the inaugural David Toms Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Golf Classic scheduled for Monday, setting a new date of Tuesday, October 27 at David Toms Academy 265 in Shreveport.

The new clubhouse at 265 will be open by then, providing an enhanced experience for participants, said Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Foundation President Lisa Babin.

The format of the event is unchanged. A dinner/auction for participants will be staged the night prior to the golf outing. Teams that were registered for March 30 receive priority access for October 27, she said.

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (LSHOF) Foundation became a tax exempt, 501 c 3 public, non-profit entity in July of 1975. The LSHOF Foundation was established primarily to provide a tax exempt mechanism for funding the annual Induction Weekend. In 2011, a state wide board of directors was selected and the By-laws and Articles of Incorporation were updated to reflect the expanded mission of the LSHOF Foundation. The LSHOF Foundation is the only support organization for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and one of the support organizations for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum. The role of the LSHOF Foundation has expanded from funding and hosting the annual induction celebration in Natchitoches each June to also include hosting Hall of Fame events throughout the year around the state and marketing and funding of new exhibits in for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum.
