CyPhaCon's Delayed 10th Anniversary Will Be Worth The Wait

Southwest Louisiana's premiere pop culture convention, CyPhaCon, has been forced to delay their 10th anniversary since 2020. But now, in 2022, they will finally get to celebrate this historic achievement. For their big anniversary, the show is expanding.

The 10th anniversary show will take place April 1st-3rd, 2022. The show will be at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

CyPhaCon is a 3-day event that includes Celebrity Guests, Cosplay Guests, Musical Acts, a Cosplay Contest, Charity Auction, the Scion eSports Arena, Tabletop Board Gaming, 110 Hours of original panels and programming, fan groups, local groups, CyPhaKids, along with Vendor, Artists and Makers!

This year's guest lineup is headlined by fan favorite actor Doug Jones.

Jones is one of the best special effects actors of all time. He's been in 150 films, but is maybe best known for the lead roles in the Academy Award winning movies Pan's Labyrinth and The Shape of Water. He also has some strong comic book movie credentials. Jones played Abe Sapien in Hellboy and Hellboy II as well as The Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer.

His geek credentials also include Commander Saru in Star Trek: Discovery, Billy Butcherson from Hocus Pocus, The Lead Gentleman in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Deathbolt in Arrow and The Flash, and Pencilhead in Mystery Men.

Star Trek actor Tim Russ will also be heading to CyPhaCon.

Russ is best known for his role is Star Trek: Voyager, where he played Lt. Commander Tuvok, a role he played for 170 episodes. But that's not all he's known for.

Other roles that Russ might be known for are as Principal Franklin in iCarly, Frank in Samantha Who?, and as the voice of Solomon in Sym-Bionic Titan. Russ is also an Emmy Award winner for his Public Service Announcement work. Russ also has an iconic scene from the movie Spaceball, where he plays a trooper who's coming the desert...you know, the one with the NSFW line.
