Darrell Rebouche and Rick Rowe, friends and co-workers of Bob Griffin, talk to 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the passing of the man held in such high regard by so many across the ArkLatex.

Rebouche, who began his television career in Shreveport TV with Griffin as his boss, says, "He gave me my first job in broadcasting in 1978. He hired me at KSLA to be his assistant...and actually set the course of my entire adult life."

Rowe and Griffin, meanwhile, continued to be co-workers at KTBS, where the 85-year-old remained a feature reporter. He tells KEEL listeners that the two had become close friends through the years and had spoken just days before his passing. "He sounded great," Rowe said, "And I ended the conversation and I said, 'Love you, buddy.' And he said back to me, 'Love you, too.'"
