Caddo Narcotics Search Leads to Manhunt and Arrest of 3 Men
After somewhat of a near three hour long crime drama that took place yesterday, October 19, three men have ultimately been arrested.
The saga begins around 5:00 pm on October 19 when Caddo Sheriff's Narcotics agents executed a search warrant for a home in the 1700 block of Looney Street and found drugs and guns.
After clearing the home, agents noticed the back door was open. That’s when they discovered a man, later identified as 47 year old Marcus Clark, hiding outside the home.
Agents immediately asked him to surrender, Clark elected to run away. After a short foot chase, Clark was arrested and two other men came out of hiding.
The two other suspects, later identified as 28 year old Jeremy Jones and 21 year old Eric Jenkins, were asked to surrender, but instead Jenkins pulled out a gun and pointed it at a Shreveport Police Officer. A CPSO narcotics agent then fired one round at Jenkins. Jenkins wasn't hit and immediately fled on foot.
A short time later, Jones was arrested while the CPSO special response team, K9s, and drone unit along with SPD officers combed through the area in search of Jenkins.
Approximately 7:30 pm, a CPSO K9 deputy found Jenkins hiding under a house on West Gary Street and he surrendered.
Clark was taken to an area hospital after complaining of breathing issues while Jenkins and Jones were taken in for questioning.
All three suspects will be booked into Caddo Correctional Center. Jenkins will be charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer with a firearm, possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and flight from an officer. Clark will be charged with two counts of possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (methamphetamine and crack cocaine), possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and felon in possession of a firearm. Jones will be charged with possession of schedule II with intent to distribute (crack cocaine), and flight from an officer.
