We received word earlier that Webster Parish Schools would be closed through at least tomorrow, Thursday, February 18 due to the winter storm and treacherous road conditions, but we've been waiting to hear the decisions from Caddo Parish, who have been on a scheduled break through today, Red River Parish and Bossier Parish.

Desoto Parish is already out this week for a scheduled Winter Break.

Well, the wait for the word from Bossier Parish is now over. We just received word from the Bossier Parish School Board that all Bossier schools and centers will remain closed for the rest of this week due to the extreme winter weather conditions. This includes the virtual program.

The Bossier Parish School Board meeting previously scheduled for tomorrow, February 18, will be rescheduled for February 25.

Classes are currently slated to resume as normal on Monday, February 22, but please keep in mind that the current water issues could bring on their own set of problems that could be unique to various schools, so keep an eye here for any updates we might receive if any extenuating circumstances develop.

Likewise, when we hear from Caddo Parish and Red River Parish, we'll immediately advise.
