Farmers Market Celebrates the ‘Dog Days of Summer’ Again Saturday
Unfortunately, last weekend's 'Dog Days of Summer' event was postponed due to rain, so they're doing it this Saturday, July 9, 2022!
Summer is here and while it's hot, most of us can't wait to get outdoors and take advantage of all of the fresh fruit and vegetables on offer at the Bossier City Farmers Market. Even though the Bossier Farmers Market has always been pet friendly, this Saturday, they're celebrating the 'Dog Days of Summer!'
The Bossier City Farmers Market wants to invite you to bring your leashed pets to the market this (and every) Saturday. They promise there will be plenty of green grass, ice baths, and swimming pools for your furry friend. Plus, they'll have tons of pet treats and/or food for sale, non-profits, and other pet vendors on site!
The Bossier City Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm through November. The weekly event takes place in the south parking lot of Pierre Bossier Mall with tons of local vendors, live music, food trucks, free parking, and free admission. To see the constantly updated vendors list, join the Bossier City Farmers Market Facebook page. Plus, if you get too hot, the market is located literally steps away from the air-conditioned mall that has seating and all kinds of amenities.
Some of my favorite stops include the produce stands (obviously), Geaux Meals by Gracie, which sells pans of pre-cooked entrees for easy, convenient meal prepping, the homemade dog treat booth, the booth with the street tacos, and there's another one that sells handmade wire jewelry with crystals. I guess I'm a hippie at heart!
I meet some of the best people while strolling through the market with my buddy, Cyrus. Stop and say hi!
