LSU Legend Billy Cannon’s funeral will be held tomorrow inside the Maravich Center, in Baton Rouge starting at noon. The visitation and funeral services, which will start at 2 PM, will both be open to the public.

Cannon is LSU's lone Heisman Trophy winner, and one of the most recognized athletes in the schools history. Cannon dealt with off-field issues after his career ended, but had remained an icon to LSU faithful.

His NFL career did not result in the same kind of success that his college career did, even though he achieved history with his pro career. Cannon was the first $100,000 athlete in pro football, and was also a dual #1 overall pick in the NFL and AFL Drafts. He will forever have his name etched in pro football, and college football record books.

The 1959 Heisman Trophy Winner passed away peacefully in his St. Francisville home on Sunday at the age of 80.
