According to the National Weather Service,  a tornado is being blamed for uprooting a tree that fell on a house in Logansport,  LA.  The same forceful winds knocked trees down in the yard of that house,  smashing a car, according to local news reports.

That tornado made its way through Joaquin, Texas, and cut a path through northwestern Louisiana including Claiborne and DeSoto Parishes, taking down trees and power lines, and damaging homes.

According to SWEPCO,  some 3,000 customers were without power during the height of the storm.
