Apparently It’s Illegal to Take a Bear Through a Drive Thru
Most people try to avoid bears, but not in Canada. In Canada they take their bears to Dairy Queen for ice cream. A Kodiak bear belonging to a zoo in Alberta was taken off of the grounds of the zoo, placed in a car for a joy ride around town and taken through a drive thru for ice cream. Now the owners of the zoo are facing charges.
CTVNews reports that the zoo owners are in legal trouble with Fish and Wildlife because "Under the terms and conditions of the zoo's permit, the charges are directly related to the alleged failure of the park to notify the provincial government prior to the bear leaving the zoo."
In other words it's ok to take bears out to eat just notify someone first! But it appears the people at Dairy Queen didn't seem to matter as the store owner fed the one year old bear ice cream out of the drive thru window... Oh, Canada!
