News arrived late last week that Netflix's BoJack Horseman would be concluding its run with its sixth season, but one of the show's voice talent, Aaron Paul, appears to have revealed the show was cancelled rather than deciding to end on their own terms.

When a fan reached out on Twitter about his dismay at the end of the run, Paul responded, "We had a wonderful time making Bojack. Couldn’t be more proud. Fell in love with these characters just like everyone else did but sadly Netflix thought it was time to close the curtains and so here we are. They gave us a home for 6 beautiful years. Nothing we could do about it."

Raphael Bob-Waksberg created the animated series about a cranky, washed up former Hollywood star, with Will Arnett voicing the titular character. The sixth and final season is broken up into two parts, with the first arriving on Oct. 25, while the second half debuts on Jan. 31, 2020. A trailer for the upcoming season can be seen below.

Paul, meanwhile, does have more work for Netflix on the horizon. El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie arrives on Oct. 11.
