An Iowa couple have discovered an eerie presence in their pear tree, just in time for the approaching Halloween season. It was first reported by a Des Moines television station that Phil and JaNelle Lovely recently discovered a pumpkin

that appears to be growing in the tree at their Greenfield home, 50 miles southwest of Des Moines.

They say they have no idea how the pumpkin wound up in their tree. Apparently,  Mother Nature caused a nearby garden vine to climb the tree.
And that gave the pumpkin, which is now green, the appearance of having sprouted from one of the tree's branches.

Mrs. Lovely says it's something of a tourist attraction now with people stopping by to see the pumpkin out of curiosity,  since it was discovered on Labor Day.  She's hoping it remains in the tree until it turns orange, then she'll have an All Hallows Tree.  Here's the video link from huffingtonpost.com.
