They're saying that the hard earned win by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in Michigan might just give NASCAR a boost.

The once-soaring popularity of the sport had leveled off.  But Dale Earnhardt Jr., the most popular driver in the Sprint Cup Series, ended a four-year drought this past weekend and won in Michigan and moves up to second in the points standings.

Jr. ended a 143 race winless streak with his first win since this very race four years ago.
