Southern Jaguars head coach Dawson Odums looks forward to seeing his talented receivers and quarterback Austin Howard match wits with Louisiana Tech's vaunted secondary. Speaking of Howard, Odums said, "He can throw with the best of them. He's throwing to what I think is the best receiving corps in our conference and one of the best in the country."

When Tech has the ball Saturday night in Joe Aillet Stadium, Odums expects a heavy dose of all-Conference USA running back Kenneth Dixon, "Not too many teams have stopped him," Odoms said. "He always seems to fall forward for a couple more yards." Southern will also be the first team to get a look at former Florida Gator, the highly mobile Jeff Driskel, as the Dogs starting quarterback. "We see great running quarterbacks every week in our conference. It's all about making adjustments during the game."

Tech and Southern kick off at 6pm Saturday night in Ruston.
