Tim Fletcher: Shreveport’s Biggest Rivalry

The biggest rivalry in the city commences tonight when Captain Shreve meets Byrd at Lee Hedges Stadium.

The 7th ranked Yellowjackets bring a 3-0 mark into the annual grudge match which doubles as a district game.  The purple and gold gang also has a dominant record in their matchup with the King's Highway kids, with 20 wins in the last 21 square-offs.

The Gators, 1-2 are inexperienced on defense with eight sophomores on the field most of the time---a potentially combustible equation with the Jackets vaunted offensive attack.
