The Saints announced Tuesday that starting safety Rafael Bush is done for the year, placing him on Injured Reserve with a torn pectoral muscle. Last year, Bush missed six games with a fractured tibia. While New Orleans waits for Jairus Byrd to finally play a game after signing a mega-dollar deal last year, they need help at safety...soon.

To fill the void, the team signed Kenny Phillips, who last played a down in the NFL in 2012.

Phillips made the Saints original 53-man roster last Saturday but was released during a player shuffle leading up to the season opener.
