Mother Nature made her presence felt during Northwestern State's first full practice Tuesday morning.  Lightning in the Natchitoches area sent the players off the field for a half-hour early in the workout.

After returning to the field briefly, another batch of lightning sent the team indoors again.

Soon after the Demons made it inside, a downpour soaked the area.  The much-needed rain was nice---however, when the players were able to get back on the field, stifling humidity had set in.

Head coach, Jay Thomas found a silver lining in the thunderclouds of the day. "It was a good lesson for us.  We always talk about sudden changes in the game, usually that means turnovers, but it can mean weather delays."
