And, the best part is, all proceeds go to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  This afternoon at 5 p.m.,   Alex Collins & Hugh Wood will have your delicious dinner of  pork chop, dirty rice, and au gratin potatoes for $10.

It's all happening live from the Minden Civic Center, but if you can't make it by, you can listen to the entire auction each day, all day long on AM 1130, KWKH, the Home of the Legends. There will be a phone number you can call to make bids, so you don't really even have to leave your house.

This is the 36th year of  the  Minden  St.  Jude Auction, and you find many items that will be raffled off for cash for the hospital. You can also donate items.  Just go the website to find out what there is to win, and how you can help.

The 4-day telethon is simultaneously broadcast on the local radio and cable station.  Since it's inception, the Minden St. Jude auction has raised over $4 Million for children's research benefitting St. Jude, and Minden's citizens hold the claim of raising more money for St. Jude, per capita, than any other city: $40 per person.   Their fight is our fight, and we'll fight until we win!
