Saints Receiver Joe Morgan Has Charges Dropped, Signs Deal

Jefferson Parish prosecutors have dismissed a drunken-driving charge against New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan contingent upon his entry into the district attorney's diversion program.

The prosecutors could resurrect the charges in the future if Morgan does not complete the program.

More good news for Morgan: he has re-signed with the Saints for one year.

Saints Hire New Fullback

The Saints also agreed to a four year deal with fullback Eric Lorig. Lorig spent his first four NFL seasons with Tampa Bay.  Lorig has 30 receptions in his career with the Bucs.

Last season, fullback Jed Collins had 15 catches with New Orleans.  The Saints like to throw to the fullback on short distance and goal line situations.
