Saints Power Past Cardinals In Honey Badger’s Return to Superdome

The last time Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu was on the football field in the Superdome, he was an LSU Tiger in a game where the Tigers lost to Alabama in the BCS Championship Game in January 2012.

A lot has changed since last year for Mathieu - and the Saints.

On an emotional day for the Honey Badger, he managed to grab one of Drew Brees' passes for an interception. The Honey Badger still takes what he wants.

For the Saints, Drew Brees threw for 342 yards and threw for two touchdown passes and rushed for one.

Brees and Jimmy Graham connected for two touchdowns in the game, and Brees even helped his own cause by rushing a touchdown in the end zone from 7 yards out in the fourth quarter. Graham had 134 yards receiving for the game.

When all was said and done, the Saints beat the Cardinals 31-7.

This week the Saints will prepare for and welcome the Miami Dolphins to town. The Saints and Dolphins play next Monday night, in a game you can listen to on 1130 The Tiger.
