Remembering Justin Bloxom [AUDIO – VIDEO]

It has been two years since 12-year-old Justin Bloxom was murdered in Desoto Parish.

The Justin Bloxom Memorial Garden was dedicated today at North Desoto.

Justin was lured away from a friend’s house by a man who used text messages pretending to be a young girl who wanted to meet up with him. Brian Horn is in jail in Desoto Parish awaiting trial on 1st degree murder charges. Justin’s and family are in our prayers today.

Erin McCarty and Robert J. Wright from our sister station KVKI talked with Justin’s mom, our former co-worker and current friend Amy Fletcher. Here’s that interview, if you’d like to remember with us.

Prosecutors are working on bringing an FBI investigator to the stand to explain what happened to a warrant for cell phone records seized from Horn's brother's truck.

Horn's defense say's that investigators did not have permission to search the devices.

The judge has heard testimony about previous crimes allegedly committed by Horn, that includes the rape of a teen-aged girl in the state of Missouri.

Horn was accused of taking two young girls in separate incidents to his car, where he allegedly fondled them.

He was arrested in 1998 by a Caddo Parish Deputy on a warrant that was related to one of those cases. he was charged with indecency with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
