Police Investigating a Shooting that Left One Dead, 2 Injured
Three men were shot Monday afternoon in an exchange of gunfire. Corporal Marcus Hines says that the Shreveport Police aren't really sure what happened as of yet, all he knows is that one man is dead and two other injured.
Police were originally called to the 1200 block of Travis Street because a man there was suffering from a gun shot wound to the hand. A short while later, police received reports of one man being fatally shot and another being transported to the hospital because of a gun shot wound to the abdomen. At this time, SPD are still piecing the events the together. The shooting remains under investigation.
This was Shreveport's 34th homicide of the year.
