Grab your coffee mugs, and be sure to make the strongest cup of coffee you can make and prepare yourself to watch the Fightin' Tigers, fight their way to save themselves from elimination after today's opening round loss, against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 3-2!

Here's how it all went down: In all honesty, this game was truly a pitching duel.

Aaron Nola got the start for the Tigers, but was pulled after retiring six straight batters in the middle of the 3rd inning!

Chris Stratton got to start to the Mississippi State Bulldogs was dominant today, as he struck out eight Tiger batters over his six innings of work!

For the entire game, the Tigers used a total of seven pitchers! One of the pitchers out of the seven, Joe Broussard was tacked with the loss after giving up the game winning hit, and eventual winning run in the 6th inning.

After the Bulldogs tacked on two runs early, Mason Katz tied the game with a two-out RBI single into left field.

An inning later, in the 6th, Bulldogs' DeMarcus Henderson drove in the go-ahead run to give the Bulldogs the 3-2 lead.

In the 9th inning, Bulldogs' Johnathan Holder set the Tigers down in order, to win the game for the Bulldogs.

To save off elimination, the Tigers need to beat Ole Miss tomorrow. The first pitch is scheduled for 9:30, with the pregame show beginning at 9:15.
