East Baton Rouge Parish will formally charge Jeremy Hill, LSU’s leading rusher a year ago, with misdemeanor simple battery stemming from a late April scuffle in a bar parking lot.

Hill was charged today and will be arraigned on Friday.

The matter put’s Hill’s 2013 season in jeopardy, as he was already on probation from a 2012 plea of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Les Miles has suspended the sophomore pending the outcome of the case.
