The LSU Lady Tigers held off a late surge from Auburn to win 65-62 in the SEC Tournament. The 22nd ranked LSU ladies will now play in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals.

LSU (20-10) led by as many as 18 points, and have now won seven in a row.  Senior guard Adrienne Webb led all scorers with 18 points.

Auburn, down big in the second half, began to put the full court pressure on Nikki Caldwell's squad, causing 18 turnovers.  Auburn's play ignited a 10-0 run shrinking the Lady Tiger lead to just five points with 5:47 left in the game.  At that point, Webb would hit a big three from the corner to put LSU back up by eight.  That would be the last field goal of the game for LSU.  With 10 seconds left, LSU led 65-62, leaving Auburn a desperation halfcourt heave that bounced off the front of the rim and preserved the LSU win.

All-SEC first teamer Theresa Plaisance had her third double-double in four games, scoring 15 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

The sixth seeded Lady Tigers play 3 seed and 12th ranked Georgia in the Quarterfinals Friday at 7:30pm.

1130 the Tiger will air the LSU Lady Tiger SEC Quarterfinal instead of the LSU Baseball game against Washington.
