The LSU Basketball program is looking to restock the shelves after their first experience with a one-and-done star player. Last season, LSU was able to ride superstar freshman Ben Simmons to victories, but he's since taken his place as the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, which leaves LSU with a large void moving forward.

It would appear that LSU Coach Johnny Jones will be building with a foundation instead of one-and-done stars. He's already building that 2017 class, and he's doing so within the state of Louisiana. Here's more on his latest recruit from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Lafayette Christian’s Galen Alexander, a four-star recruit, has committed to LSU basketball team. He’s is rated the No. 1 prospect in the state and the No. 63 recruit nationally by 247 Sports for the Class of 2017."
