Lady Tigers to Start SEC Tournament Play Thursday, Two Players Make SEC

The SEC Women’s basketball tournament begins Wednesday, March 5, but the LSU Lady Tigers will not play until Thursday against Alabama.

Nikki Caldwell's bunch lost their last six regular season games and have fallen out of the Top 25 but the Lady Tigers still have a good chance at making the NCAA tournament as a lower seed.

Senior forward Theresa Plaisance was named ALL-SEC first team on Tuesday. Raigyne Moncrief was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Thursday's Ladies game conflicts with the Men’s game versus Vanderbilt, but if the Ladies win, you’ll hear them play Friday in round 2 of the SEC tournament on 1130 the Tiger.
