The parade will begin at the "Parade Start" Banner hanging over Clyde Fant Parkway in Downtown Shreveport.  It will proceed on Clyde Fant Parkway towards Shreveport-Barksdale Hwy, continuing along Shreveport Barksdale Hwy.,  turning left on East Kings Hwy until the “Parade Ends” sign just north of Preston.

"NO THROW ZONES" will be clearly marked along parade route. Those zones are the sharp "S" turn, under the railroad tracks, on Clyde Fant Parkway and all bridges on Clyde Fant Parkway.

The Krewe of Gemini is the first parading Krewe in modern times in Shreveport and Bossier City.  It's a nonprofit volunteer organization including folks from all walks of life who enjoy promoting the Mardi Gras spirit in the area.

You're invited to be a part of this great organization.  The Krewe of Gemini  Den is located at 2101 East Texas St. in Bossier City.

The last Gemini float in the parade commemorates the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras.

The largest one tandem float in Louisiana is 83 feet long, has two bathrooms and a party room.

At the front of the float is an eight foot high, two sided rotating Gemini faces prop.

The 2012  King & Queen,  Mike Acurio &  Lynn Manno call this float home, along with 36 other former royals.  The float has 55 riders.  Betty Ramonte King is float lieutenant.
