Happy Birthday to Don Shula: 82 Today![Video]
Don Shula is one of the most renowned coaches in National Football League history. Celebrating his birthday today ( he's 82) he set a record of the most wins as head coach when he retired from the Miami Dolphins in 1995.
He wound up with 347 career wins. Shula lead the Dolphins to two Super Bowl victories, and to the NFL's only perfect season.
Shula was also named 1993 Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Not only did Shula hold the NFL record for most career wins with 347, he also only had two losing seasons in his 36-year career.
Don Shula's son, Mike, was a quarterback at the University of Alabama, and was the youngest head coach in Alabama's history. He was replaced by Nick Saban in 2007 after a losing season.
