Former Byrd Star Helps Tulane Beat LSU Baseball

For the second straight game, the LSU Tigers baseball team went into extra innings, and for the second straight game the Tigers haven’t come away with a win. LSU tied Georgia in 13 innings on Sunday, which left them short on pitching for Tuesday’s matchup with Tulane and the Green Wave got the 3-2 victory in 11 innings.

Former Byrd star Richard Carthon had the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 11th for the Green Wave. The loss ends LSU’s six game win streak over Tulane.

LSU will travel to Gainesville this weekend for a three game series versus Florida beginning on Friday. You’ll hear games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday here on 1130 the Tiger.
