Bowl Game Madness Today

I counted six Bowl games on television today and some are on at the same time. First at 11 am, it's Houston vs. Penn State in the TicketCity Bowl game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on ESPNU. 

Then, there are three Bowl games that all come on at noon:  the Capital One Bowl featuring Nebraska and South Carolina at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, which will be televised on ESPN (3 D);  the Outback Bowl with Georgia and Michigan State in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium on ABC, and the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl with Florida taking on Ohio State in Jacksonville at EverBank Field. It will be on ESPN2.

Then there's the Rose Bowl, which used to be the granddaddy of them all, featuring Oregon and Wisconsin in Pasadena, California. Kick off for the Rose Bowl Game is 4 pm on ESPN.

The Tostitos Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., has Oklahoma State playing Stanford at 7:30 pm on ESPN.

The Sugar Bowl is not until Tuesday.  It's being played in New Orleans at the Superdome featuring Michigan against Virginia Tech, and its on ESPN with kick off at 7:30 pm.

Discover Orange is being played Wednesday in Miami Gardens with Clemson taking on West Virginia. Kick off is at 7 pm on ESPN.

The AT&T Cotton Bowl featuring Arkansas against Kansas State is Friday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington at 7 pm on FOX.

The BBVA Compass Bowl is being played Saturday in Birmingham, Al., at Legion Field with Pittsburgh against SMU.  Kick off is at noon on ESPN.

Sunday, Arkansas State takes on Northern Illinois in the GoDaddy.com Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Al.  Kickoff is a 8 pm on ESPN.

FINALLY,  after waiting for weeks, we'll  get to see the Super Bowl of College Football:  the Allstate  BCS National Championship Game with the No. 1 SEC Champion LSU Tigers taking on No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide.  The pre game is at 5:30 with kick off at 7:30 pm from the New Orleans Superdome  on your home for LSU football, AM 1130, KWKH. The game will also be televised on ESPN (3D).
