Don't look now, but the New Orleans Pelicans are making some serious moves in the the playoff picture.

When All Star DeMarcus Cousins went down for the season a few weeks back, many people wrote off the Pelicans season as a loss. But that message has fallen on deaf ears with players like Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holiday, and superstar Anthony Davis.

The team has been playing lights out since before the All Star Break, and that's continued through last night, and Anthony Davis as been leading the way. Now he's been honored for it. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Anthony Davis has been named the N-B-A’s Western Conference Player of the Month. A-D put up huge numbers as he averaged 35 points 13 rebounds, two steals and two blocks a game.

The Pels have won seven in a row and came back from 15 points down to beat San Antonio last night."
