The Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park is hosting the 14th Annual Owl Night at the park near Blanchard.

It's happening this Saturday from 5pm-9pm. More than 15 hundred people are expected to visit the park for this special event.

4 owls will be out in the park with handlers for guests to view and take photos.  You will also learn all about owls and the different species.

 

Did you know owls lay eggs. Some owls sleep at night, but some don't. It depends on the breed You can get all your questions answered during this special event on Saturday.

Not only will you be able to meet live owls, but you will be able to create owl-inspired art, go on a guided night hike, catch owl storytime or a naturalist presentation, then relax by the fireplace with complementary hot chocolate and make-your-own s'mores.
Admission is free.

The Hot Dawg Hut, Uneeda Taco, and Gary’s Cajun Cuisine will be on site.

PARKING and SHUTTLE INFORMATION:

There is very limited parking available at the nature park. Continuous shuttle service will be provided from Richard Fleming Park, 7919 West Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, LA 71107.
