The LSU game at Alabama will be a big contest in college football this weekend. Vegas oddsmakers put the spread at 11 points in favor of the Crimson Tide.

This is the seventh consecutive year that Alabama has been the favorite among Vegas oddsmakers. This year, the Crimson Tide is an 11-point favorite in Saturday's showdown at Bryant-Denny Stadium.  The last time the spread between these two was in double digits was back in 2006 when LSU was an 18-point favorite. In the first big clash between Nick Saban and Les Miles at Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2007, the Tigers won. Let's hope Miles can pull off another big win.

Check out the oddsmakers' history of the series during the Saban-Miles era.

Since Les Miles and Nick Saban have been facing off in the SEC, neither team has dominated the rivalry. Saban and Alabama lead the series, 4-3, including a 21-0 win in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game.

“This is not the kind of game that anybody could not get excited about playing in,” Saban said at a Monday afternoon press conference. “Obviously this rivalry in the last few years has always meant a lot, whether it’s national rankings (or) SEC West. (It’s) a very meaningful game.” LSU is ranked #13 this week while the Tide are still at #1.
