LSU junior quarterback Joe Burrow, true freshmen cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., and junior safety Grant Delpit were named to the midseason AP All-American first team today.

Burrow has the 2nd best betting odds to win the Heisman Trophy currently, trailing only Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was named to the midseason All-American second team.

Burrow is on pace to shatter every LSU single-season passing record.

He currently leads the country in completion percentage (79.6%), is 2nd in the country in passing yards (2,157) and touchdowns (25), and 4th in completions (148).

Stingley, who had a huge interception (one of three this season) in Saturday's win over Florida, currently ranks third in the nation in passes defended with 12. He's also the sole true freshmen on the All-American team.

Delpit, a highly rated draft prospect, has procured 27 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and an interception on the season.
