Even as Arrow once again revoked access to Deathstroke, fans kept hope that recent references to Batman and Wonder Woman might signal greater leniency with the major DCEU characters. Not so, apparently, as Arrow boss Marc Guggenheim once again shoots down the notion that Justice League-rs Batman or Wonder Woman might make their CW debuts.

Supergirl has its own Super-mythology separate from The CW’s Smallville, though fans are more than happy to draw connections between the pair. That is, until Season 3’s “Midvale” made reference to one of Smallville‘s original creations, which itself has become the focus of a real-life sex cult investigation.

With ‘Justice League’ on the way, we’re looking back at the evolution of Batman and Superman’s movie costumes over the years.

In Marvel’s comics, Captain America is a Nazi now. Rather, he’s a Hydra operative, which means he’s a member of a group that has had ties to Nazism in the history of the comics, but which the writers are trying to distance from its more unsavory historical connotations. But a DC hero is taking the opposite route: Lotus Entertainment and Paperchase Films have optioned the film rights to nonfiction book Superman vs. the Ku Klux Klan: The True Story of How the Iconic Superhero Battled the Men of Hate.

Based on the images we’ve seen so far (and just the images), it’s fair to assume that Justice League is a movie about A. a long-haired metal-head who starts a rock cover band with a group of people in unnecessarily elaborate costumes, or B. a team of superheroes who spend their time aggressively posing and staring at things offscreen. Either way, it seems like it could be a good time.

Good news: fans are finally getting their shot to lay claim to two highly sought-after pieces of comic book memorabilia, with George Reeves’ original Superman costume and the Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton during his stint as the Batman both up at auction until January 26. The bad news: you’re going to have to part with at least tens of thousands of dollars if you want to get your mitts on that spandex.

What may go down as one of the worst years in recent memory is slowly crawling to a close, and while we wish it good riddance and hope against hope that 2017 will be an improvement, there is some small solace in looking back over the year that's passed and figuring out what stuff from it was the best. That's right, it's "Best of..." list time, and today we're taking a look at the Best DC Covers of 2016.

And even beyond reading comics, there are plenty of books about comics that they could be reading. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. Superman is responsible for laying the foundation for what we would come to know as the "superhero costume", so it stands to reason that every time anything about his changes; it makes headlines and gets people talking. But for a character that’s been around as long as Superman, it’d be silly not to expect him to mix it up every now and then and try on a new outfit. But they can’t all compete with his classic look. In fact, most of them can’t. The red, yellow, and blue has stood the test of time for a reason, so this week we’re looking at a few of Superman’s less successful wardrobe choices.
