Local businesses are offering military personnel at least a 10% discount this holiday season.

It's one of the most heartwarming, sob-inducing sights you'll see on the Internet: the soldier returning home from overseas, surprising his or her child. It never gets old, one of the genuine feel-good moments the Internet lets us see.

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy. 25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed. It's quite an impressive sight.
