Frank Page Dies
For decades, Frank Page woke up the Arklatex each morning on KWKH Radio. Best known as the man who introduced Elvis Presley to the world on the stage of the Louisiana Hayride, "Uncle Frank" as most of us knew him, died Wednesday night, January 9, 2013 at the age of 87. Uncanny how he passed the day after what would have been Elvis' 78th birthday.

KWKH listener Cindy Williams emailed me a  color photo of Elvis at the Louisiana Hayride.  In her email,  Cindy says,  "My Mom bought a large framed picture at a garage sale and behind the picture, inside the frame were hidden - two (2) identical color photographs of Elvis Presley.

In this video James Burton, Elvis' guitar player, demonstrates a little chicken pickin' as used in Ricky Nelson's "Hello Mary Lou". At one point he even does it real slow to give you a chance to watch and learn to play it yourself. Enjoy!
