If you somehow have been living on a derelict space station that only just crashed back down on Earth and you missed out on the months of hype for Captain America: Civil War, I guess it's a little late for a Spider-Man spoiler warning. To be fair, even Marvel couldn't help but spill the beans on the webhead's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by showing him off in trailers and images well before the film hit theaters. Oddly though, while there is plenty of Captain America and Iron Man merchandise to be found from the new film, there's nary a Spider-Man figure to be seen. That changes this summer.

Not long after the initial rumor was reported, it was confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming — returning Sony’s favor following Tom Holland’s MCU debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War. Since then, we’ve been wondering if any other Marvel characters would crossover to the Spidey reboot, and according to Holland, there’s at least one more hero he wants to see in his upcoming solo film.

It’s pretty well-documented that the flow between Marvel’s cinematic properties and TV series has often been a one-way street, though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. most often plays ball with the MCU-defining tentpoles. We find ourselves on the cusp of a prime example of that as Marvel prepares to release Captain America: Civil War, which heavily tests the star-spangled hero’s duty, friendships, and beliefs. Civil War is one of those arcs that sees Captain America in one of his most human moments, when the Steve Rogers character is challenged to wage a war between what he believes in and what he represents. It’s not hard to see why Marvel chose to dip into that arc for the next Captain America movie, nor is hard to see why folks love to cosplay this versatile character. We’ve gathered their efforts here in one place for you to enjoy. The wealth of Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson, rule 63s and more demonstrate admirably that though Captain America is often seen as a white bread hero, no one can be excluded from portraying one of the oldest guardians of freedom in comics. Whether you’re Team Cap or Team Iron Man, we can all agree these fine folks lay it on the line to do Caps justice. This is the best Captain America cosplay.

Marvel’s spring event Avengers Standoff rolled into Sam Wilson: Captain America this week, in an oversized special in honor of Captain America’s seventy-fifth anniversary. In an action packed issue featuring stories from Greg Rucka & Mike Perkins, Tim Sale, and Joss Whedon & John Cassaday, the main story by Nick Spencer, Daniel Acuña and Angel Unzueta saw an old favorite return to form, hotter than he’s ever looked.

Marvel has debuted the latest 'Captain America 2' poster two days ahead of the upcoming trailer premiere. That's right! The first footage of 'The Winter Soldier' is officially hitting the web this Thursday, but until then, get a load of the Cap as he preps to land in Washington, D.C.
