A truck driver from North Carolina was busted in Louisiana after allegedly being caught with over $1.1 million and over 100 pounds of narcotics.

A Sheriff's Department says following an arrest that they support small businesses owners, but not those that are illegal.

A 17-year-old high school student at Woodlawn High School in Louisiana was arrested on Wednesday after it was alleged he hid a gun in the cushion of his wheelchair and brought it onto school property.

He was arrested on one count of battery of a dating partner and has been booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the aforementioned charges.

On January 18, 2025, Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to a residence at 2320 Highland Avenue in reference to a disorderly person.

The homeowner reported seeing two unknown males inside his residence without consent. Observing the situation from across the street, the homeowner provided critical information to responding officers

The suspect unlawfully entered the residence, defaced the victim's property, and committed a physical battery on the victim, causing injury.

The investigation began on August 13, 2024, when detectives received information regarding inappropriate sexual contact involving a 16-year-old juvenile victim.

The vehicle, traveling southbound on Fairfield Avenue, crossed into the opposing lane before officers activated their emergency lights and sirens.

When an officer approached the vehicle, the driver refused to exit. The officer also reported that the individual made threats to harm himself.

In the early hours of January 13, 2025, a vigilant patrol officer with the Shreveport Police Department removed a firearm from the streets and arrested a convicted felon.
