The New Orleans Saints lost one of their offensive tackles last week when Michael Ola suffered a high ankle sprain and will be placed on injured reserve and ending his season. With doing so they've added Derek Newton to add depth to their offensive line on Tuesday.

It was two years ago when Derek Newton was last seen on the football field for the Houston Texans when he suffered two devastating knee injuries that occurred on the same play. However, the Saints are giving him a second chance to play the game he loves and they're signing him to a two-year contract hoping he can stay healthy and help them now and in the near future.

Newton was drafted 214th overall by the Texans during the 2011 NFL Draft. He's a large human-being standing at 6'6" and 315 pounds and during his time with Houston he was reliable. starting 68 of 82 games.
