NFL, Goodell Reinstate Sean Payton

The NFL and Kingpin Commissioner Roger Goodell, today, reinstated Sean Payton… effective immediately, Payton can return to the Saints and the team facility.

The two met yesterday and Goodell says Payton “fully complied with all requirements imposed during his suspension.” Payton was originally expected to be reinstated following the super bowl.

The coach said in a statement that he is “excited to be back, and thanked owner Tom Benson and Saints fans for their overwhelming support.”

It’s right back to work for Payton, who will be scouting talent at this weekends Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Many Saints fans continue to be livid at Goodell for the punishments he imposed on the franchise this season.
