Jrue Holiday Diagnosed With Lower Abdominal Strain
New Orleans Pelicans star guard Jrue Holiday has put together an impressive season, playing in all 67 games to this point.
“Not a guy that plays that hard every night and competes every night,” Pelicans forward Julius Randle said last week when asked about Holiday. “He’s pretty unbelievable.”
An defensive player of the year candidate, Holiday is the unquestioned leader of the Pelicans.
New Orleans will be without him for at least the next week, as he's been diagnosed with a lower abdominal strain.
He'll be re-evaluated in 7 to 10 days.
On the season, Holiday is averaging a career best 21.2 points per game, 7.7 assists and a career-high 5.0 rebounds per contest. He's also logged 54 blocks this season, the best among all guards in the league.
