Fight Involving 2×4 Board and Possible Knife Caught on Video in New Iberia Neighborhood

New Iberia, LA – A disturbing fight caught on video in a New Iberia neighborhood is making rounds on social media after a confrontation between two women turned violent—one wielding what appeared to be a 2x4 plank, the other allegedly holding a knife-like object.

The video, originally posted by Da Commando on social media, opens with a woman in a red shirt standing next to a white pickup truck parked along Alpha Street. In her hand, she appears to be holding a sharp object and is heard asking for what sounds like a “tool” from someone inside the truck before searching the truck bed herself.

The footage, which has quickly gained attention for its chaotic nature, shows a tense scene surrounded by multiple onlookers. A second woman, wearing a black shirt and red shorts, is seen aggressively swinging a wooden board—believed to be a 2x4—at the woman in red, threatening her as the altercation escalates.

Despite the dangerous display, the woman in red manages to get her opponent to drop the board. She then tackles the other woman to the ground and lands several blows before a man steps in to separate the two.

The incident unfolds with bystanders watching, including what appears to be young children nearby—a fact that many viewers online have pointed out as especially concerning.

At one point, the white pickup truck involved in the scene drives through the area, causing some people nearby to scatter.
